A Fresh Start

1. Fresh start and new IT Strategy

The management at Koestler were looking at a change of direction with the support and service levels provided by their previous IT support provider. They were looking for a fresh approach with a focus on a longer term IT strategy.

2. Closer Working relationship

It was felt that a closer working relationship with their IT provider was required to develop a partnership in order to improve the efficiency of their IT.

3. Cyber Security Focus

They felt the IT network security needed to be even more robust as staff needs changed and security risks evolved, so they were looking for a focus on security services to secure the IT network and protect their data.

4. Office move

They were also looking to move office and would need both help with the move and ongoing IT support during the move.

5. Move to cloud telephony

As BT increasingly advertised the end of ISDN telephony, a move to cloud-based calling was wanted.

Once we had taken over their network a number of changes were made to their licensing and IT security:

• Upgrading Microsoft licenses so InTune could be used to improve security, particularly around mobile device management.
• Implementing our Silver Security Package including Microsoft365 Security Monitoring.
• Set up Gamma IP telephony for the whole business
• Working with them to achieve Cyber Essentials accreditation.

They have a more stable, secure and sustainable IT infrastructure; one that has capacity for future growth.

All of their technology is now provided and managed under one roof, so problem resolution is easy. Finally, all their support (remote and onsite) is included in one price, so they have no budget concerns.
